How to resolve MYST token transfer issue on Polygon network?

I’m having trouble with my MYST tokens transfer. Originally sent to my Coinomi wallet on the ETH network, I learned MYST now runs on Polygon. After following Coinomi's instructions to transfer to my Trust Wallet, my tokens are still not showing up. I've verified my wallet address via the transaction ID, but neither Trust Wallet nor MetaMask register the tokens, even though I've previously used MetaMask for MYST. Coinomi suggested contacting Polygon support. Can anyone help with resolving this token visibility issue?

You might need to manually add the MYST token to your wallet. Wallet applications sometimes require manual addition of custom tokens, especially when dealing with new or specific blockchain networks like Polygon. Make sure you've selected the correct network in your wallet (i.e., Polygon Network if that's where your tokens are currently).

Verify that your wallet is compatible with the MYST token on the Polygon network. Check if there are any documented solutions or similar issues resolved in the Coinomi or wallet support forums, such as: 'ttps://coinomi.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/29000039169.'

Your MYST tokens are likely on the Polygon network, but they aren’t showing up in your Trust Wallet or MetaMask because of how wallets handle custom tokens. This is a common issue when transferring tokens between networks, especially when a token migrates from one blockchain to another. Since you’ve already verified that the transaction was successful and the tokens were sent to your address, the problem is most likely related to visibility settings in your wallet. Here’s how you can fix this and access your tokens.

First, confirm that your MYST tokens are actually on the Polygon network. You can do this by using PolygonScan. Enter your wallet address into the search bar and check the "ERC-20 Token Txns" tab. If your MYST tokens appear there, they are in your wallet but are simply not being displayed by Trust Wallet or MetaMask. If they don’t appear in the transaction history on PolygonScan, then they may still be on Ethereum, and you will need to check Etherscan instead.

Once you’ve confirmed the tokens are on Polygon, make sure your wallet is set to the correct network. MetaMask, for example, does not automatically switch networks based on the tokens in your address. If you haven't added the Polygon network to MetaMask yet, you’ll need to do so manually. Open MetaMask, go to Settings > Networks > Add Network, and enter these details:

  • Network Name: Polygon
  • RPC URL: https://polygon-rpc.com
  • Chain ID: 137
  • Symbol: MATIC
  • Block Explorer: https://polygonscan.com

After switching to the Polygon network, you may still need to manually add the MYST token to MetaMask or Trust Wallet. Wallet applications don’t always recognize every token automatically, especially those on less commonly used networks. To add MYST, open MetaMask or Trust Wallet, go to the section for managing tokens, and look for an option to “Import Token” or “Add Custom Token.” You will need the correct contract address for MYST on Polygon, which you can find by searching for "MYST token Polygon" on PolygonScan. Once you’ve entered the contract address, the token should appear in your wallet with its correct balance.

If the tokens still don’t show up, verify that your wallet supports MYST on Polygon. Some wallets, especially those designed for Ethereum, may not fully support tokens on other chains. Check the official documentation or support forums for your wallet—Coinomi, for example, has a support page that might contain relevant information.

Another possible issue is that the tokens were sent without being bridged. If you originally had MYST on Ethereum and transferred them without using a bridge, they might still be sitting on Ethereum rather than Polygon. In this case, you would need to use the Polygon Bridge to move them properly. You can check Etherscan with your wallet address to see if the tokens are still on Ethereum. If they are, you’ll need to visit the Polygon Bridge and complete the bridging process.

If you’ve followed all these steps and the issue persists, reaching out to Polygon support may be your best option. You can ask a question on Polygon Community Forum or ask for help in the Polygon’s Discord. Additionally, you might find helpful information in Trust Wallet’s and MetaMask’s support forums, where other users have likely faced similar token visibility issues.
